Carlo Pifferi
Carlo Pifferi obtained his Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology, under the supervision of Prof. C. Nativi, Dr. S. Roelens, and Dr. O Francesconi at the University of Florence (Italy), focusing on supramolecular chemistry and organic synthesis of synthetic receptors for the molecular recognition of carbohydrates. He then attended the University of Grenoble-Alpes (France) as a Ph.D. student in Prof. Renaudet’s group, working on the design and synthesis of carbohydrate-based anticancer vaccines. The main aspects of his current work concern carbohydrate chemistry, peptide chemistry, and click chemistry for the design of multivalent homo- and hetero-glycoconjugates. His research relies on a chemical-biology context, with a particular interest in chemical immunology.
